  • Autumn Light near Bamford

  • When the valleys of the River Derwent fill with cold moist air, an inversion forms and slops around slowly as the sun rises and starts to burn it off. As it thins near the woodlands, the sunlight burst through in beams that play on the leaves and road in an amazing interpaly of light and shadow.

Here, on a narrow back lane running up from Bamford to Stanage Edge they always create something special.
